With Google I/O 2012 now kicked off and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean unveiled, the time has come to download the tools to make the magic. During this mornings keynote address, it was announced Android 4.1 would be rolling out mid-July while the SDK would be made available to developers today. Facebook announced the Instagram Videos today and the updated Instagram 4.0 (apk) for Android is now available in Play Store. With this new app, Jelly Bean 4.1 users will be able to record and upload short, 15 seconds videos on Instagram app. And there are 13 new filters, added specifically for the videos. The app also lets you watch the videos shared by the people you are following. It’s exactly the same way as the Instagram photos work.

We hope that Instagram Video recording for ICS and Gingerbread is added soon. For now, however, only Jelly Bean users will be able to capture videos. This leaves more than half of Android devices without the ability to record Instagram videos.
